Estonia starts public school programming courses for six-year-olds

// September 6th, 2012 // Programming

Nerd kidEstonia has just started a new program, called ProgeTiiger, that incorporates computer programming in their public school curriculum.  Why is this cool?  Because the lessons start when the kids reach 6-years-old!  As the kids get older the curriculum gets tougher with the intent to arm the kiddos with programming knowledge (focused on web and mobile coding) and make Estonia a nerd powerhouse of the future.  It’s expected that the logical thinking required for programming will help the kids with other subjects such as math.
