Space Shuttle Endeavour final flightThe Space Shuttle Endeavor passed over Southern California today, riding on the back of a Boeing 747 and flanked by a lone jet fighter, on route to its final destination – the California Science Center.  Crowds gathered to watch Endeavour as it flew around the City by The Bay and then buzzed the Golden Gate bridge in a final salute to its endearing fans.  This is the last flight for a space shuttle. Atlantis will remain at Kennedy for display. Discovery is already at the Smithsonian Institution, parked at a hangar in Virginia.  See photo montage below.
