Here are the Russians indicted by Mueller and the most intriguing crimes they perpetrated against the United States.

On July 13, 2018, the Grand Jury for the District of Columbia indicted 11 Russians for crimes against the United States. The indictment states that in 2015, Russia operated the GRU and engaged in cyber operations that “involved the stated releases of documents stolen through computer intrusions. I reviewed the indictments and came up with the following items I found most interesting (or at least, thought provoking).

  5. Aleksey Viktorovich Lukashev – sent spearphishing emails using personas Den Katenberg and Yuliana Martynova
  6. Sergey Aleksandrovich Morgachev – developer of malware X-Agent
  7. Nikolay Yuryevich Kozachek – developer of malware X-Agent
  8. Pavel Vyacheslavovich Yershov
  9. Artem Andreyevich Malyshev
  10. Aleksandr Vladimirovich Osadchuk
  11. Aleksey Aleksandorvich Potemkin

Interesting items

  • Released tens of thousands of stolen emails and documents using the personas DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0.
  • Spearphished using an online URL shortner and an email designed to look like a Google security notification.
  • Sent spearphishing email using the address of a known Clinton campaign member with a one-letter difference. Email directed to website operated by GRU.
  • Created website and accompanying Facebook page. Using personas Alice Donovan, Jason Scott, and Richard Gingrey, they promoted the website and drove users to it.
  • Created Twitter account @dcleaks_. Used the account to encourage citizens to attend a flash mob opposing Clinton and to post images with hashtag #BlacksAgainstHillary.
  • Created Guccifer 2.0 persona to promote the “one hacker” theory.
  • Purchased VPN server in Malaysia using bitcoin to host Used server as VPN to access Twitter accounts as Guccifer 2.0 (@Guccifer_2)
  • Formed Internet Research Agency, funded publicly by Concord Management and Consulting, to farm engagements against US political and electoral entities. Project titled “information warfare against the United States of America”.
  • Received PM from “Organization 1”  to Guccifier 2.0: “send any new material here for us to review and it will have a much higher impact that what you are doing.”
  • Received PM from “Organization 1” to Guccifier 2.0: “If you have anything hillary related we want it in the next tweo days prefable because the DNS is approaching and she will solidify bernie supporters behind her after.”
  • Received PM from “Organization” to Guccifier 2.0: “We think trump has only a 25% chance of winning against hillary.. so conflict between bernie and hillary is interesting.
  • Stole information related to 500,000 voters including names, addresses, partial social security numbers, dates of birth, and driver’s license numbers.
  • Using fake social media account, arranged for a US citizen to stand outside the White House holding a sign that read “Happy 55th birthday dear boss”
  • Operated groups, via US-based VPN services, in the US under the themes Secured Borders, Black Lives Matter, United Muslims of America, Army of Jesus, South United, and Heart of Texas. Purchased advertisements on social media to promote these groups.
  • Through fake organization, encouraged US minority groups not to vote.
  • Through fake United Muslims of America social media account, posted “American Muslims are boycotting elections today, most of the American Muslim voters refuse to vote for Hillary because she wants to continue the war on Muslims in the middle east and voted yes for invading Iraq”.
  • Flew to United States around June 2014 to gather intelligence. Travelled to Nevada, California, New Mexico, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Louisiana, Texas, Georgia, and New York.
  • Hacked into vendor that supplied software to verify voter registration information for the 2016 elections. Then sent malware infected email designed to look like the vendor to 100 organizations and personnel involved in administering the elections in Florida counties.
  • Using fake personas and PayPal accounts, ran the following advertisements on social media:
    • April 6, 2016″You know, a great number of black people support us saying that #HillaryClintonIsNotMyPresident”
    • April 7, 2016″I will say no to Hillary Clinton / I say no to manipulation”
    • April 19, 2016″JOIN our #HillaryClintonForPrison2016″
    • May 10, 2016″Donald wants to defeat terrorism … Hillary wants to sponsor it”
    • May 19, 2016″Vote Republican, vote Trump, and support the Second Amendment!”
    • May 24, 2016″Hillary Clinton Doesn’t Deserve the Black Vote”
    • June 7, 2016Trump is our only hope for a better future!”
    • June 30, 2016″#NeverHillary #HillaryForPrison #Hillary4Prison #HillaryForPrison2016 #Trump2016 #Trump #Trump4President”
    • July 20, 2016″Ohio Wants Hillary 4 Prison”

    • October 19, 2016″Hillary is a Satan, and her crimes and lies had proved just how evil she is.”
  • Used the Facebook group “United Muslims of America” to promote a rally called “Support Hillary. Save American Muslims” where they recruited a real U.S. person to hold a sign depicting Clinton and a quote to her stating “I think Sharia Law will be a powerful new direction of freedom.”
  • Used the Facebook group “Being Patriotic,” the Twitter account @March_for_Trump to organize political rallies in New York and Florida. Rallies included “March for Trump”, “Down with Hillary”, and “Florida Goes Trump”. Purchased social media advertisements to promote the events.
  • At rallies they organized, payed a U.S. person to build a cage on a flatbed truck and another U.S. person to wear a costume portraying Clinton in a prison uniform.
