Breitbart’s alt-right manifesto
“We’re the platform for the alt-right.” – Stephen Bannon (July 2016)
It should have come as no surprise that the browning of America triggered a backlash among straight, middle-class, white males (of which I am one) who found themselves sinking into minority status. They must have been terrified of what was to come because after all, who knows more about racism than middle-class, white males. As a result, they aligned behind the Alt-Right movement for which, according to Executive Chairman and controversial Trump White House Senior Adviser nominee Stephen Bannon, Breitbart News serves as “the platform” for communication.
In early 2016, Brietbart News published an explanation of their Alt-Right movement in an article titled An Establishment Conservative’s Guide To The Alt-Right. It attempted to defend and justify Alt-Rights rhetoric – similar to how many Americans attempted to justify Donald Trump’s racist, sexist rhetoric during his campaign.
Let’s wallow through the manifesto, with quotes taken directly from Breitbart’s published philosophy, and untangle the purple prose to reveal what the Breitbart’s “brainy” Alt-Right really believe.
“Some — mostly Establishment types — insist [the Alt-Right] is little more than a vehicle for the worst dregs of human society: anti-Semites, white supremacists, and other members of the Stormfront set. They’re wrong.”
“The alt-right has a youthful energy and jarring, taboo-defying rhetoric that have boosted its membership and made it impossible to ignore.”
First, political correctness is not a concern for the Alt-Right. We come right out and say what we think.
“Lefties dismiss us as racist, while the conservative press, always desperate to avoid charges of bigotry from the Left, has thrown these young [Alt-Right] readers and voters to the wolves as well.”
Calling us racist is a leftist conspiracy. Conservatives only agree with lefties for fear of being labelled racists themselves. We’re not afraid to be called racists.
“There are many things that separate the alternative right from old-school racist skinheads (to whom we are often compared), but one thing stands out above all else: intelligence… The alternative right are a much smarter group of people — which perhaps suggests why the Left hates them so much. They’re dangerously bright.
The main difference in Alt-Right and racist skinheads is intelligence – not their belief system nor their modus operandi but rather, their IQ. You see, the Alt-Right are “smart racists”. We’ll demonstrate this by ending the paragraph with an ever-so-subtle threatening play on words to show how smart we are.
“The origins of the alternative right movement can be found in thinkers as diverse as Oswald Spengler, H.L Mencken, Julius Evola, and Sam Francis.”
To prove we’re not bad guys, well reveal who we base our beliefs on: Oswald Spengler, a German that Goebbels saw as the precursor to intelligent Nazi beliefs, H.L. Mencken, a detractor of religion known for his claim that “war is a good thing”, Julius Evola, the unconventional mystic who helped create Fascist Italy’s racial laws directed at Jews, and of course Sam Francis who famously wrote, “As long as whites continue to avoid and deny their own racial identity, at a time when almost every other racial and ethnic category is rediscovering and asserting its own, whites will have no chance to resist their dispossession and their eventual possible physical destruction.”
“Steve Sailer helped spark our “human biodiversity” movement [via] a group of bloggers and researchers who strode eagerly into the minefield of scientific race differences.”
Our views on race are based on scientific principles because remember, we’re smart racists.
“[We] strip away self-censorship, concern for one’s social standing, concern for other people’s feelings, and any other inhibitors to rational thought.”
How are we so damn smart? We think like machines, stripping away the human component because after all, people have nothing to do with racism.
“Asking people to see each other as human beings rather than members of a demographic in-group, meanwhile, ignore every piece of research on tribal psychology.”
You see, we follow a principle called Tribalism which is based on an area of science called Tribal Psychology. Basically, people are going to be loyal to their tribe so why try to mature, grow, and expand our species by thinking out of the box and accepting others outside of our tribe. That would be stupid – and remember, we’re smart.
“Natural conservatives have other concerns: chiefly, the preservation of their own tribe and its culture.”
I mean, come on guys, are you not getting this? We’re not racist – we just want to preserve our tribe.
“This follows decades in which left-wingers on campus sought to remove the study of “dead white males” from the focus of western history and literature curricula.”
In the past, our history books focused solely on the white tribe. Then liberals started removing whities from history. If left-wingers insist on including histories of other tribes then the text books need to be expanded, not thinned out to make room. If a student cannot lug around a 10-inch thick textbook then they don’t deserve to be Americans.
“Many establishment conservatives aren’t keen on this stuff either — but the alt-right would argue that they’re too afraid of being called “racist” to seriously fight against it. Which is why they haven’t.”
Conservatives don’t agree with us because they’re cowards. It has nothing to do with them being smarter than us.
“Establishment conservatives care more about the free market than preserving western culture.”
To everyone else, it’s all about the money. And we’re smart so we don’t need money and stuff.
“Halting, or drastically slowing, immigration is a major priority for the alt-right.”
“You’ll often encounter doomsday rhetoric in alt-right online communities: that’s because many of them instinctively feel that once large enough and ethnically distinct enough groups are brought together, they will inevitably come to blows. In short, they doubt that full “integration” is ever possible. If it is, it won’t be successful in the “kumbaya” sense. Border walls are a much safer option.”
[No editorial: this pretty much says it like it is.]
“The alt-right’s intellectuals would also argue that culture is inseparable from race.”
Because as everyone knows, the color of a person’s skin dictates their belief system. We know this stuff because we’re smart.
“The alt-right believe that some degree of separation between peoples is necessary for a culture to be preserved.”
[No editorial: this pretty much says it like it is.]
“When different groups are brought together, the common culture starts to appeal to the lowest common denominator.”
Racial integration dilutes the gene pool and leads to devolution which would hurt us the most because we’re smart.
“In response to concerns from white voters that they’re going to go extinct, the response of the Establishment — the conservative Establishment — has been to openly welcome that extinction.”
You see, we take this stance because we don’t want to become extinct. Obviously the rule that only the strongest survive does not hold true. Strength comes in numbers, not via intelligence. We know this because we’re smart.
“No matter how silly, irrational, tribal or even hateful the Establishment may think the alt-right’s concerns are, they can’t be ignored, because they aren’t going anywhere.”
See, you have to listen to us because we’re not going to shut up.
“There will always be a young, rebellious contingent who feel a mischievous urge to blaspheme, break all the rules, and say the unsayable. Why? Because it’s funny!”
“Are they actually bigots? – For them, it’s simply a means to fluster their grandparents.”
Our most racist actions come from our younger members who do it because they think it’s funny. Nothing wrong with that, they were born smart so lighten up and leave them alone. A few racist jokes never hurt anybody.
“Anything associated as closely with racism and bigotry as the alternative right will inevitably attract real racists and bigots. [We] refer darkly to these people as the “1488ers. Why “1488”? It’s a reference to two well-known Neo Nazi slogans, the first being the so-called 14 Words: “We Must Secure The Existence Of Our People And A Future For White Children.” The second part of the number, 88, is a reference to the 8th letter of the alphabet – H. Thus, “88” becomes “HH” which becomes “Heil Hitler.””
But since we’re closely associated with racism and bigotry [hey, they said it, not me] then of course, we’ll attract real racists and bigots. We used Nazi-influenced jargon to name them 1488ers. “14” for a well known Nazi slogan and “88” for the letters “HH” (heil Hitler). Then we stick a “ers” on the end to show that it’s more than one person.
“1488ers are the equivalent of the Black Lives Matter supporters who call for the deaths of policemen.”
Those 1488ers are as bad as the Black Lives Matter group that openly calls for the murder of all white policemen. Yeah, we read the news.
Andrew Auernheimer said this about us: “The tireless attempts of you Jews to smear us decent Nazis is shameful.”
See, hardcore racists like Andrew Auernheimer attack us which proves we’re not racist. Only real racists do stuff like that.
“It strikes me as quite incontrovertible that if an alien anthropologist were to visit Earth and collate expressions of hostility toward human subpopulations in Western culture today, the overwhelming majority would be anti-European. Anti-Europeanism is widely taught in schools and universities today. Its converse most certainly is not.”
We (white, pure-stock Europeans) have been attacked much more than Muslims, Jews, or people of color. We’re the victims here – even an alien would recognize that.
“The pressure to self-censor [is] overwhelming for straight white men – which explains why so much of the alt-right operates anonymously.”
We choose to remain anonymous not because we’re afraid or wrong, but because straight white men are so misunderstood.
“As minority advocates on college campuses raised hell about offensive Halloween costumes and demanded safe spaces in which they could be insulated from differing points of view, working-class white males became the least likely group to attend [college].”
Minorities have taken over the university system – that’s why so many of us Alt-Righters have not gone to college – it’s not because we’re dumb. It’s because we’re an alienated majority.
“The alt-right openly crack jokes about the Holocaust, loudly — albeit almost entirely satirically — expresses its horror at “race-mixing,” and denounces the “degeneracy” of homosexuals… while inviting Jewish gays and mixed-race Breitbart reporters to our secret dinner parties.”
Like Trump’s blatantly false statements that were meant to be satirical, we’re only kidding when we say and write racist stuff. We invite Jews, gays, and people of color to our gatherings but you wouldn’t know that because our gatherings are secret. Anyway, this lends legitimacy to our belief system.
“[We] know that a zero-sum battle with this group [anyone that isn’t Alt-Right] would end in stalemate or defeat. [Our] goal is a new consensus, where liberals compromise or at least allow conservative areas of their countries to reject the status quo on race, immigration and gender.”
We understand that a lot of people disagree with segregation and we can’t win that battle, but we just ask that you let us discriminate based on race, immigration status, and gender. That’s only fair to us.
“Should the liberal tribe do business with [us]? Well, the risk otherwise is that the 1488ers start persuading people that their solution to natural conservatives’ problems is the only viable one. The bulk of their demands, after all, are not so audacious: they want their own communities, populated by their own people, and governed by their own values.”
If the liberals don’t accept our beliefs, they risk the hardcore racists winning the battle and that’s not so hard to imagine given that the bulk of their beliefs are pretty much in line with ours.
“Allum Bokhari is a reporter for Breitbart.”
See, we’re not racist – we got a foreign guy to write this article for us.
