Word on the street is that X-Men director Bryan Singer (who recently directed the Munsters reboot, Mockingbird Lane) has closed a deal to develop, executive produce and possibly direct a reboot of Rod Serling’s sci-fi/horror classic, The Twilight Zone. CBS owns the rights to the original so they are the best bet to pick up the new project (their CW network could air it too).  The search for a writer is in the works.

The original Twilight Zone series ran on CBS from 1959-1964. CBS also aired a remake, which ran from 1985-1989.  The show was also revived on UPN for one season in 2002. The popular show has spawned full-length movies, board games video games, graphic novels, and books.
