Description

A portable pocket-size antiseptic container that doubles as a alcohol fire stove. Every backpack should have a Cat Can Stove in it.

These light and cheap stoves can be carried in your pocket and produce enough heat to thoroughly cook or heat food and beverages in mere minutes. Runs off regular rubbing alcohol and acts as its own fuel storage container. Remember, the fuel doubles as an antiseptic too. If you’re going to carry alcohol in your first aid kit, you might was well carry it in a Cat Can Stove. Perfect survival tool for day-long hikes or multi-day protests.

Backpackers and long-distance hikers will be familiar with the “cat can” stove but many have never seen nor used such a device. It defies logic and can even seem a little scary but I can attest, these stoves work and they work great!

Fill the can with regular rubbing alcohol. The lid keeps the alcohol from spilling out when packed. Take the lid off and simply light the alcohol. The top layer of alcohol will burn producing an extremely hot flame that can be used for cooking and purifying water. The holes in the side let you place a cooking pot directly on the stove without extinguishing the flame. When you’re ready to put out the flame, simply toss a rag over the stove to snuff out the fire.

  • Portable and easy to carry.
  • Stores fuel inside
  • Dependable source of heat
  • Very efficient
  • Acts as its own pot stand
  • Uses regular denatured alcohol, HEET anti-freeze, or even high-proof drinking alcohol for fuel.
