America Chavez first appeared in Marvel’s Vengeance #1 (Sept. 2011) before joining the Young Avengers and later starring in her own ongoing series, America, in March 2017. As a lesbian, she is Marvel’s first Latin-American LGBTQ character. America has superhuman strength and the power of flight but her most unique skill is the ability to travel across different realities, making her one of the most powerful superheroes in the Marvel universe.
