Lobo

DC Comics’ Lobo character is an alien born on the planet of Czarnia. He works as an interstellar mercenary and bounty hunter. Lobo was created by Roger Slifer and Keith Giffen, and first appeared in Omega Men #3 (June 1983). The character was revived in the early 1990’s when writers attempted to use Lobo as a parody of the 1990s trend towards “grim and gritty” superhero stories, epitomized by such Marvel Comics characters as Cable, Wolverine, and Punisher. Instead, Lobo was enthusiastically accepted by fans and became a prominent DC superhero.
