Motion capture (also referred as mo-cap or mocap, for short) is the process of recording the movement of objects or people. In filmmaking, movement of an actor is captured via special equipment and later used to generate animated digital character models. To do this, the actor wears a motion capture suit (mo-cap suite), a wearable device that records the actor’s body movements.
