About the Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie.
The Transformers: Rise of the Beasts movie will introduce Predacons, Maximals, and Terrorcons. Predacons are a form of Decepticons that can transform into animals. Maximals have a similar beast mode. The Terrorcons are a group of five Decepticons under the command of Galvatron. The Terrorcons transform into nightmarish monsters and combine to form the “combiner” Abominus.
Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told reporters:
“Our hope was how do we find a new set of villains and priorities … saving the world is left to the Autobots and the Maximals. If you’ve seen and been a fan of the other movies, you’re gonna see villains you’ve never seen before, Autobots you’ve never seen before … Fortunately for us, Transformers has a lot of tribes and there’s a really large base of characters and fans that relate to different tribes. This movie is bringing a lot of these tribes together.”
Transformers: Rise of the Beasts is directed by Steven Caple Jr., from a screenplay by Darnell Metayer and Josh Peters, and a story by Joby Harold. It will be the seventh overall installment of the Transformers film series and serves as a direct sequel to Bumblebee (2018). Influenced by the Beast Wars storyline, the film will center around Optimus Prime in 1994 in Brooklyn, New York City, and Machu Picchu, Peru.

Director Steven Caple Jr. talked to Coming Soon about filming the seventh Transformers installment in Peru.
“When you’re on the seventh installment where can you go new? For us it was Peru. When I talked to Lorenzo [di Bonaventura], he had mentioned this. I was like, “Wow, that’s like a freaking great idea,” and when I went there to location scout, it was just amazing. We went to Cusco to the jungles in Tarapoto. We met with the people, got a chance to vibe, feel, the energy in this place. Sorry, it was Machu Picchu, which is very majestic. There’s the Inca ruins, which are spiritual. I definitely felt something up there. Very few films have actually shot not only in Peru but also in Machu Picchu where they’re opening the doors for us. I’m super honored and grateful to basically be collaborating with Peru and highlight Peru’s culture if you will, and their ancient civilization. They have beautiful landscapes, beautiful sights, but most importantly, beautiful people. I can’t wait to put them on screen.”
