Aquaman

Aquaman is a DC superhero who debuted in More Fun Comics #73 in November 1941. He was one of the founding members of the Justice League. Often the butt of jokes about his lack of superpowers, the character is often depicted in a more serious manner than other DC superheroes. In the Golden Age of Comics, Aquaman was a normal human man who trained himself to breathe under water. The storyline changed in the late 1950’s to portray Aquaman as a survivor of the underwater city, Atlantis with increased superpowers and vulnerabilities.
