A New Jersey witness has reported sighting a low-flying “huge” triangle-shaped UFO over Vernon Township, a township in Sussex County, New Jersey. The witness was camping in Vernon on September 15, 2015, when he saw the object while walking back to his tent.
“I just decided to take a gaze up at the sky because it was really clear out and out of nowhere, I noticed this huge black, long triangular craft with several steady white lights. And it appeared to be the bottom of the craft.”
According to the witness, the object was shaped like a “V” with large, white, portal lights underneath. It moved slowly and silently along the tree line before “fading out and disappearing”.
“This thing was giant. Like a flying aircraft carrier and it made no sound. Was that low and just disappeared does not make sense.”
The witness was unable to take a photograph of the object but drew a sketch (see photo above) which he submitted to MUFON for investigation.
Vernon, New Jersey has received numerous reports of large, V-shaped UFOs in the past. The report below was received in late 2013 and notes that the object is frequently seen rising from the waters of the local reservoir:
“I have seen this craft a number of time’s leaving the water of Canistere Reservoir, as I drove east on Canistere rd at dusk . I have also seen a number of times black or gray Ford F150’s with all blacked out window’s no plate’s, parked along side of the road at the same times that do not belong in the area. I have lived here for 50 years and know the basic cars and truck’s from our neighborhood . We do have Picatiny Arsenal on Rt 15 in Oak Ridge NJ. that recently built a large sight tower in the same area without reason and also they have built a very large amount of wiring from the main power grid tower going underground. Hard to explain without looking at them – the craft looks like a pyramid shape with a rough black texture very, very large with red marking lights at the outer edges. I have seen this craft a number of times in the last few yrs as it leaves the reservoir”
