Scott Snyder’s Absolute Batman is a bold new path for DC Comics
In July, DC unveiled DC All In, a line-wide publishing initiative that merges an imaginative re-envisioning of the DC “Absolute” universe with a continuous series of key comic book titles, showcasing bold new paths for DC’s classic Super Heroes. When DC All In debuted in October, fans encountered novel “Absolute” interpretations of beloved characters—like a previously unseen version of the Dark Knight in Absolute Batman, and a Wonder Woman forged in Hell in Absolute Wonder Woman. By November, fans were introduced to a Superman who was raised on Krypton before arriving on Earth in Absolute Superman.
Absolute Batman #1, created by Scott Snyder, Nick Dragotta, Frank Martin, and Clayton Cowles, has reached the top of retail sales following a successful launch and several additional printings. It is undisputedly the bestselling comic of 2024.
