Ryan Reynolds’ social media post revives rumors about Deadpool joining the Avengers in Marvel’s upcoming “Avengers: Doomsday”.

Avengers Doomsday logo

Ryan Reynolds has reignited fan theories across the Marvel Cinematic Universe by commenting on his recent viral social media post featuring the Avengers logo, fueling ongoing speculation about Deadpool’s possible appearance in the next Avengers movie, “Avengers: Doomsday.” While Reynolds clarified the origin of the image, he left fans guessing about Deadpool’s future in upcoming Marvel projects.

Ryan Reynolds’ Mysterious Marvel Tease

Last month, Ryan Reynolds shared an Instagram post depicting a variant of the classic Avengers logo, sending Marvel fans into a frenzy. The timing of the post coincided with ramped up production for “Avengers: Doomsday,” the highly anticipated film scheduled for release in December 2026. The post quickly circulated online, with many interpreting it as a subtle hint at Deadpool’s involvement in the next Avengers team-up.

In a recent interview, Reynolds addressed the speculation directly. He described the posted logo as one of his favorite props from the set of “Deadpool & Wolverine” that did not make the final cut. The prop, according to Reynolds, was simply a personal favorite—a flag with a striking red and black design that echoed Deadpool’s signature style. He stated, “It was my favorite. For some reason, you watch a movie later that has that many alts and all that stuff, and you go, ‘Why didn’t I choose that one?’ There were five other great jokes for that. That’s how it works, and that was just a flag. I just came across it, and I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I loved that flag. The red and black vibe.’”

Deadpool’s Future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Despite addressing the origins of the post, Reynolds neither confirmed nor denied Deadpool’s future participation in the upcoming Avengers film. He did tease that discussions are ongoing with Marvel about what’s next for the character, keeping the door open for further speculation. “There’s always talk. We’re figuring out what’s next in that world and blah, blah, blah,” Reynolds said, effectively maintaining the mystery and excitement among fans.
