Pokémon is getting an early start on holiday decorating with a charming new plush collection built around Pikachu’s many seasonal side hustles. The “Holiday Helper” lineup includes a tree-costumed Pikachu, several smaller plush key chains, and an especially delightful pairing that sends Pikachu sliding through the snow behind a festive Clodsire. IGN first reported the reveal after Pokémon previewed the collection across its social channels.
The centerpiece is a floppy-eared Pikachu dressed as a Christmas tree, complete with pastel decorations, a red glitter-trimmed bow, and a golden Minior serving as the star on top. The official Pokémon announcement also highlights Pikachu riding a Porygon-themed vehicle, a snow-covered version that resembles a tiny holiday snowman, and a sleepy Pikachu enjoying a cream-filled Tangela cookie. Those designs appear to be the smaller plush key chains, giving the set a mix of display-size centerpiece and portable seasonal companions.
The most inventive design may be the sleigh scene. Rather than presenting Clodsire as a standalone Santa-like plush, the official preview shows the Paldea Pokémon pulling a small sleigh with Pikachu aboard. The two wear matching hats, while the sleigh adds gold accents, green bows, and Pikachu-inspired ears and tail details to the backrest. It is an unusually elaborate use of Clodsire, whose famously placid expression makes the Pokémon look less like a reindeer substitute and more like the world’s most dependable holiday helper.
Japan is expected to receive the collection through local Pokémon Center stores later in October, while North American Pokémon accounts have described the U.S. release as “coming soon” through Pokémon Center. Pokémon has not yet published North American prices, measurements, or a firm online launch date, so collectors will need to watch the store listing rather than rely on the apparent scale of the promotional image. The Japanese preview also suggests that the plush are part of a broader Christmas-themed merchandise push involving Pokémon helping prepare for the holidays.
The timing places the plush alongside Pokémon Center’s newly launched 2026 “Winter Night Sky” holiday range. According to the company’s official media alert, that collection arrived October 14 in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with seasonal apparel, decorations, gift-wrap supplies, plush, and plush key chains among the offerings. Independent coverage has also noted the breadth of this year’s merchandise, which includes ornaments, home décor, apparel, and figures alongside the plush-focused releases.
For fans, the Holiday Helper reveal is less a single seasonal toy than a promising extension of Pokémon Center’s annual holiday merchandising strategy: recognizable characters placed in highly specific, gift-ready scenarios. The Christmas tree Pikachu is the obvious centerpiece, but the Clodsire sleigh could become the collection’s breakout design if it reaches North America before the holidays. Pokémon has not confirmed whether more Holiday Helper Pokémon will follow, leaving open the possibility that this first wave is only the beginning of the festive lineup.
