An article in the October 2013 issue of the military aviation magazine Combat Aircraft Monthly has revealed that the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF) has been intercepting UFOs with F-4 and F-14 fighter planes for decades and that they believe many of the UFOs they’ve intercepted are top-secret U.S. drones capable of flying above the atmosphere and moving with astonishing flight characteristics and “meteor-fast speeds”.
In 2004, when Iran’s nuclear program was revealed to the world, Iran reportedly put several F-14 Tomcat fighter planes on standby and because of United States UAV presence in their country, patrolled the skies day and night to monitor the area’s airspace. Many foreign aircraft were encountered and some displayed flight characteristics beyond anything they’d ever seen before. According to Combat Aircraft Monthly, Iranian sources said:
“The UFOs displayed astonishing flight characteristics, including an ability to fly outside the atmosphere, attain a maximum cruise speed of Mach 10, and a minimum speed of zero, with the ability to hover over the target.”
In addition to the bizarre flight characteristics, these craft also reportedly emitted high levels of magnetic energy that disrupted navigation systems and jammed military radars.
One encounter was described in detail:
“In one case over Arak in November 2004, the crew of an F-14A armed with two AIM-9Js and two AIM-7E-4s spotted a luminous object flying near the heavy water plant of the Arak site. When the beam of the jet’s AN/AWG-9 radar “painted” the object, both the RIO and pilot saw that the radar scope was disrupted, probably due to the high magnetic energy of the object increasing the power of the reflected radar waves.
The pilot described the object as being spherical, with something like a green afterburner creating a considerable amount of turbulence behind it. The Tomcat crew achieved a lock-on when it was flying a linear and constant flight path. Once the pilot selected an AIM-7E-4 to launch against it, the object increased its speed and then disappeared like a meteor.”
Another encounter was already well-known and occurred on January 26, 2012, when an Iranian Air Defense Command radar site near Bushehr identified an unknown aircraft flying in the area. A F-14A was ordered to scramble and took off from the 6th Tactical Fighter Base. Seconds later, the fighter exploded killing both crewmembers instantly. The reason for the explosion remains a mystery and the aircraft involved “was one of the fittest IRIAF Tomcats, with the lowest flying hours in the fleet.”
Other attempted engagements by the F-4s and F-14s proved futile, so the IRIAF reportedly suspended all flying missions attempting to intercept these unidentified flying objects. Both Iran and Russia allegedly investigated the extraordinary UFOs and after two years of study, concluded that the craft must be U.S. intelligence drones (UAV).
No currently known aircraft has the ability to perform like the UFOs observed in Iran and until such technology is revealed to the public, it would be unwise to simply write them off as advanced U.S. drones.
