The Wrap is reporting that long-hidden footage showing a clear view of a second gunman in the John F. Kennedy assassination will be aired and offered for sale to private investors this week. The footage is currently in possession of Texas real-estate developer, Stephen Bowen, who says he obtained the film from a Houston television news producer who held onto it secretly for more than 40 years. The film is said to clearly show a second shooter hiding in the bushes along the route the presidential motorcade took on November 22, 1963, supporting the theory that Lee Harvey Oswald did not act alone.
“You can see a guy in the bushes with a gun,” a source who viewed the film told The Wrap.
Bowen is represented by The Gersh Agency, a talent and literary agency with offices in Beverly Hills and New York, which intends to hold private screenings of the footage for interested parties this week in Los Angeles. Stephen Bowen founded and will act as the principle at Waterstone Entertainment (represented by The Gersh Agency). The producers have arranged private screenings of the footage for news networks and other interested parties next week in Los Angeles, including CNN, Fox News and Reuters.
According to The Wrap, given the 50-year anniversary of the assassination, Bowen “has decided now is the time to bring it to market”.
The Wrap noted:
“The majority of the American public’s exposure to the JFK assassination stems from the tape made by private citizen Abraham Zapruder, which Time Inc. purchased, though several frames were subsequently damaged. (Time later sold the film back to the Zapruder family.) Bowen’s footage is believed to be an amalgamation of footage assembled from that fateful day in Dallas, including undamaged, missing frames from the Zapruder tape.”
