Naturally, when a mass shooting occurs and the media bombards the public with anti-gun rhetoric, we become concerned and inherently wonder, “Would the country be safer if gun ownership was restricted – or more tightly controlled?” Contrary to what we are often told, guns have no bearing on the level of violence in a society.
