Oppo’s new Find X10 Pro Max has become the world’s first smartphone to ship with three 200-megapixel rear cameras, spanning wide, ultra-wide, and periscope telephoto lenses. The photography-focused flagship is debuting in China in late September, with Oppo clearly aiming to steal some spotlight from rival launches in the same window.
At the heart of the system is a 200MP main camera based on Samsung’s ISOCELL HPC sensor, a large 1/1.3-inch chip paired with an f/1.5 lens and optical stabilization. Oppo says this primary shooter can capture up to 17 stops of dynamic range thanks to its DeepPix sensor processing, pushing HDR performance well beyond typical smartphone cameras. The 200MP ultra-wide camera reportedly uses a 1/1.56-inch sensor with a 124-degree field of view and an f/2.2 aperture, making it far higher resolution than the 12–50MP modules that dominate competing devices. Rounding out the trio is a 200MP periscope telephoto unit with an f/2.1 lens, CIPA 7.5-level optical stabilization, and the ability to focus as close as 10cm in its telemacro mode.
All three rear cameras support 8K video capture, along with 4K at up to 120 frames per second, HDR recording, and Log profiles aimed squarely at mobile filmmakers and serious creators. Oppo’s DeepPix technology is designed not only to extend dynamic range but also to improve noise handling and color consistency across the three modules, which should help avoid the jarring shifts users often see when switching lenses mid-shot. The company has again partnered with Hasselblad for image tuning, promising refined color science and portrait rendering on top of the brute-force resolution the hardware enables.
Early press materials point to a distinctive rear design: a raised square camera island housing the three 200MP sensors, flanked by a separate bar for the flash and an auxiliary sensor, accented by an orange line that nods to Oppo’s existing camera styling. Under the hood, leaks and teasers have pointed to a MediaTek Dimensity 9600-class chipset, positioning the phone firmly in the top tier of Android performance. An 8000mAh battery—unusually large for a mainstream flagship—is advertised as keeping roughly 80 percent of its capacity after five years of typical use, suggesting Oppo is leaning on its battery longevity story as much as its camera specs.
The Find X10 Pro Max arrives as the megapixel race enters a new phase, with rivals already fielding single 200MP sensors but none yet matching Oppo’s triple-200MP approach on a shipping phone. Outlets tracking the handset’s progress have repeatedly emphasized that no other device currently offers three 200MP modules, underscoring how aggressively Oppo is staking out spec-sheet bragging rights. Yet Oppo’s messaging and the DeepPix emphasis suggest the company understands that sheer resolution is not enough, and is instead trying to combine large sensors, advanced HDR, and multi-lens consistency to win over serious mobile photographers.
For everyday users, the practical upside could be more flexible shooting—zooming from ultra-wide to long telephoto without falling back to lower-resolution sensors or heavily cropped digital zoom. Content creators, meanwhile, stand to benefit from the stacked video specs and Log recording, which should pair well with mobile editing workflows and platforms that increasingly favor high-resolution, high-frame-rate footage. For now, Oppo has only confirmed a Chinese launch, with international availability still unannounced, but given how prior Find-series flagships have eventually reached global markets, camera nerds worldwide will be watching closely to see if this triple-200MP experiment goes international.
