Hot Wheels has teamed up with Velan Studios to design the next evolution of racing – on a track that YOU create. It’s Hot Wheels Rift Rally, the mixed-reality video game for PlayStation and iOS. In the game, you can drive more that 140 legendary vehicles, thanks to a unique “shapeshifting” RC supercar, the Chameleon. Onscreen, you can transform the Chameleon into the car of your choice before or even during races and missions.

Hot Wheels Rift Rally also changes the way the world around you looks in-game. The camera built into the Chameleon shows you the rooms you’re used to seeing every day, but from a new perspective. Velan Studios’ immersive tech can make the coffee table in your living room into a tunnel onscreen, for example, or use a lamp to define a hairpin turn. And if you’ve got any pets in your space, they might even become wild new obstacles to maneuver around.

Rift Rally features multiple game modes, plus the freestyle Stunt Mode. You can compete against virtual opponents or challenge a friend with their own Rift Rally set to a cross-platform, multiplayer race. And when you complete challenges throughout the massive campaign map, you’ll get to unlock more vehicles, which you can upgrade and customize with in-game tokens.

The Standard Edition comes with all the equipment you need to race, stunt, and drift in mixed reality: a Chameleon RC car, four high-tech Rift Gates, and a USB-C charger cable. The Collectors Edition comes with all of that, too, but swaps out the standard Chameleon for an exclusive version with a different deco. It also includes a code for an in-game bonus unlockable McLaren Senna, which you can only get with the purchase of this set. And last but not least, the set also includes a collectible 1:64 die-cast McLaren Senna, with a different deco from the in-game version. Featuring enamel paint and Real Riders wheels, it’s packaged in an acrylic case for display.
