Today, it was announced that Mattel and Milestone, a renowned global racing game developer, will be releasing Hot Wheels Unleashed™ 2 – Turbocharged. The sequel to the highly praised Hot Wheels Unleashed™ will be available on October 19, 2023, for various platforms, including PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch™, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The latest installment features fresh mechanics, environments, vehicle designs, and game modes that elevate the arcade fun to a whole new level. Players will embark on an exciting journey to undiscovered territories in their Hot Wheels gaming experience.
130 new vehicles and 5 distinct environments
Hot Wheels Unleashed™ 2 – Turbocharged will have more than 130 vehicles, including motorbikes and ATVs. Vehicles will be categorized into Stock, Powered, and Ultimate based on performance. Players will be able to customize their driving style using skill points to purchase specific perks and build their ideal custom vehicle.
Five distinct environments are available in Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 – Turbocharged, each with unique racing surfaces that affect vehicle performance for a more dynamic match experience. Vehicles will also interact with several objects both on and off the track, making races even more unpredictable.
In this game, players can use new abilities called dash and jump. These abilities test the player’s driving and maneuvering skills and make the racing scenarios more dynamic and strategic. By using lateral dashing, players can impact opponents tactically, dodge obstacles, and take daring turns until they reach the finish line. Additionally, players can perform dramatic jumps at any time and place. With these abilities, players can overtake rivals, discover new shortcuts, and explore new track sections by pressing a button. These enhancements, along with the drift and boost features from the first game, ensure that each race offers a unique and thrilling experience while giving players more control over their fate.
New game modes
Hot Wheels Unleashed™ 2 – Turbocharged will offer several new game modes that provide additional entertainment and challenges both online and offline. These modes include events that test drivers’ abilities to the fullest extent, as well as teach them how to master the art of drifting and avoiding crashes with speed and precision. The popular two-player split-screen mode returns to fuel thrilling battles on the couch, while several enhancements, such as the ability to create a party with friends and the inclusion of cross-play, will add excitement to the online multiplayer experience.

The addition of a story-driven career mode featuring four unique characters is a highlight of Hot Wheels Unleashed™ 2 – Turbocharged. The Track Editor has been refined to introduce new special modules and features, which will increase the diversity of player-generated tracks. Additionally, the Livery Editor has been updated to introduce the Sticker Editor. This allows players to create, save, and share original patterns and shapes.
