World of Warcraft: Forever Launches This Week With One Global Start Time

world of warcraft forever

World of Warcraft: Forever goes live worldwide on November 4 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time, giving Azeroth’s newest chapter a genuinely simultaneous launch rather than staggered regional openings. That means the starting gun fires at 6:00 p.m. Eastern, 11:00 p.m. in London, and 8:00 a.m. on November 5 in Tokyo and Seoul. Blizzard has also confirmed that the game is ready to preload now through Battle.net. The launch timing and preload details should make it easier for players to be online when the servers open.

To install it, players should open the Battle.net desktop app, select World of Warcraft: Forever from the game-version menu, and choose Install. The game is included with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time, while optional upgrade editions remain available through the Battle.net Shop. Blizzard’s official product page lists the November 4, 2026 launch date and confirms that a Battle.net account, the desktop app, and an internet connection are required.

This is more than a fresh server launch layered onto Classic. Blizzard describes Forever as a permanent World of Warcraft home alongside the modern game and Classic, returning players to the original continents with reworked regions, new character options, updated systems, and more than 1,000 quests across the level 1–60 journey. The adventure expands familiar Azeroth with destinations including Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralas, the Riverglades, and Zephras Isle.

The hardware target is considerably more demanding than the nostalgia-focused premise might suggest. Blizzard’s minimum Windows specification calls for a four-core 3.0 GHz processor, 8GB of RAM, a DirectX 12-capable 4GB graphics processor, and 128GB of available SSD space. Recommended play moves to 16GB of RAM, a newer eight-performance-core processor, and an 8GB graphics card. The official requirements also list macOS 12 support and warn that specifications may change as development continues.

Players should treat that 128GB figure as the starting point, not a comfortable buffer, particularly if they intend to use interface modifications and other add-ons. An SSD is specifically required, so anyone preparing an older hard-drive installation should check storage before launch rather than waiting for the download to fail at the finish line.

Forever’s post-launch strategy may also feel different from current retail World of Warcraft. Blizzard has indicated that major updates are expected roughly every four months, or about three times per year, rather than following an aggressive eight-week schedule. The first major raid release is planned for December 9, with later updates adding raids, dungeons, PvP content, quests, and additional world areas. That slower rhythm suggests Blizzard is positioning Forever as a long-running world built to reward exploration and community play instead of a constant sprint between patches.
