Our vehicle, the Rockster, is a modified Volkswagen T2 Transporter pickup designed by Phil Riehlman. According to Phil, he saw great potential in the vehicle to transform it into an off-road beast for rock-crawling purposes. His customizations include a twin turbo V8 engine positioned in the middle to balance the weight and provide ample power to maneuver the 44-inch off-road tires, a long-arm suspension with piggyback shocks, a Baja bug-style snorkel scoop, dual radiators in the bed, a heavy duty winch, rock rails, and lighting. Additionally, a spare tire is mounted on the rollbar in the bed as a backup.
In March of 2018, the widely beloved Hot Wheels car was initially introduced as a 3-D prototype by HWC. A week later, it made its debut in die-cast form at the Hot Wheels Collectors Nationals as the Dinner car. This marks the fifth iteration of the truck built for traversing various terrains.
