Warner Home Video has announced the release date and details for the Dark Knight Rises DVD release. The Dark Knight Rises starring Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Anne Hathaway and Gary Oldman, will rise on December 4, 2012 in 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio and full 1080p video. A Combo Pack priced at $35.99 will include Blu-Ray, DVD, and Ultraviolet while a Limited Edition Blu-Ray Combo Pack priced at $39.99 will include Blu-Ray, DVD, Ultraviolet, and a cool replica Batman Cowl.
Extra features include a one-hour batmobile documentary that takes you through the history of the superhero car in its various incarnations. Ending the Knight, a documentary detailing the making of the movie, will include The Prologue: High-Altitude Hijacking, Return to the Batcave, Beneath Gotham, The Bat, Batman vs. Bane, Armory Accepted, Gameday Destruction, Demolishing a City Street, The Pit, The Change, The War on Wall Street, and Race to the Reactor. Other features include The Journey of Bruce Wayne featurette, art gallery, trailers, and a few other goodies.
