Amazon logoReports indicate that Amazon is getting close to greenlighting a new, original musical comedy titled “Browsers”.  According to Variety magazine:

“The single-camera project from scribe David Javerbaum and 3 Arts Entertainment was originally developed last year at CBS, but it didn’t get beyond the script stage. “Browsers” revolves around four interns working at a Huffington Post-esque website, with musical elements woven into the narrative.”

In May 2012, Amazon announced the formation of its new Amazon Studios as it joined Netflix, Hulu, Yahoo, YouTube, and reportedly Microsoft in the push to original programming.  How the original programming shows will be sold to consumers is still unknown.
