
The all-new, full-length animated movie, Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar, is written and directed by series co-creator Brendon Small. Fans can purchase the movie digitally or on Blu-ray Disc starting August 22, 2023.
Two full-length albums from DETHLOK will accompany Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar
As an added bonus, two full-length albums are also set for release this year. Fans can pre-save DETHKLOK’s highly anticipated Dethalbum IV, which includes all new original DETHKLOK songs, and will be released on August 22. The second album release, Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), will include additional songs plus a totally original movie score and will be released on August 25.
Both albums are released through WaterTower Music. Aortic Desecration is the first new music from Dethalbum IV and DETHKLOK’s first new music in almost 10 years.

Dethklok is a fictional death metal band that originated from the animated television series Metalocalypse. The band members are Nathan Explosion (vocals), Skwisgaar Skwigelf (lead guitar), Toki Wartooth (rhythm guitar), William Murderface (bass guitar), and Pickles the Drummer (drums). The band is known for their extreme popularity and their ability to unintentionally cause destruction and chaos wherever they go. Metalocalypse, which aired from 2006 to 2013, follows the daily lives of Dethklok and their attempts to maintain their success as the world’s greatest band while dealing with various obstacles and enemies.
Metalocalypse: Army of the Doomstar synopsis
In this film, DETHKLOK frontman Nathan Explosion is tasked with saving the planet by writing the SONG OF SALVATION. But he must confront a brutal professional and romantic flat-spin while coming face-to-face with the ultimate evil: Salacia. Will Nathan be able to look beyond his damaged ego to save his band, stop the Metalocalypse, and complete his mission?
