20th Century Studios and writer/director Matt Ruskin are set to premiere “Boston Strangler,” a true-crime thriller, exclusively on Hulu in the U.S., Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ under the Star banner in all other territories on March 17, 2023. The film depicts the story of the trailblazing reporters who broke the notorious Boston Strangler murders of the 1960s. Watch the trailer and poster for the upcoming movie.

“Boston Strangler” centers on Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley), a Record-American newspaper reporter, who becomes the first journalist to connect the Boston Strangler murders. As the infamous killer claims more victims, Loretta continues her investigation alongside her colleague and confidante Jean Cole (Carrie Coon). However, the duo finds themselves hindered by the era’s rampant sexism. Nevertheless, McLaughlin and Cole courageously pursue the story at great personal risk, putting their own lives on the line to uncover the truth. Check out the trailer below.

ABC Audio has also released the trailer for “Truth and Lies: The Boston Strangler,” a true-crime companion podcast to the film “Boston Strangler.” The three-part series premieres on Wednesday, March 1, and marks the first collaboration between 20th Century Studios and ABC Audio, both of which are part of The Walt Disney Company.
