Paramount+ releases CBS Fall 2023 programming schedule. Hollywood Actor/Writer strike forces a season full of reruns.

CBS has revealed its TV schedule for Fall 2023, with over 185 hours of new shows and old favorites – a lot of old favorites. It looks like the Actor/Writer strike will be taking its toll. Much of the content Paramount+ announced is reruns of old favorites.

New TV Shows on Broadcast Networks

  • YELLOWSTONE – TV’s most popular show, Paramount Network’s YELLOWSTONE, follows the complex lives of a powerful family of ranchers. Starring Kevin Costner, this show is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios. You can watch YELLOWSTONE from the beginning on Sundays.
  • GHOSTS – A British comedy hit, GHOSTS will make its broadcast network debut and air on Thursdays with CBS’ GHOSTS after BUDDY GAMES ends.

New and Returning Series

  • Game shows and competition series:
    • THE PRICE IS RIGHT AT NIGHT (new episodes)
    • LET’S MAKE A DEAL PRIMETIME (new episodes)
    • BUDDY GAMES (new reality show)
      BUDDY GAMES is a TV show hosted by Josh Duhamel. In this show, six teams of four friends compete in physical and mental challenges in an outdoor summer camp setting. The challenges are absurd and nostalgic, allowing the friends to relive their glory days together. They stay in the same house by the lake, and the last team standing wins a cash prize, a trophy, and bragging rights. The friends’ bonds will be tested, and they will rekindle their friendships while reigniting their rivalries. The show is produced by Bunim-Murray Productions and CBS Studios.
    • LOTERÍA LOCA (new reality show)
      LOTERÍA LOCA is a fun and exciting series hosted by Jaime Camil, who also produces it. It is based on the popular Latin game of chance, known as Lotería. The new series is produced by Warner Bros. Unscripted Television, in association with Warner Horizon and Apploff Entertainment. It is full of surprises and action.
    • RAID THE CAGE (new reality show)
      Winning big in RAID THE CAGE requires strategy, teamwork, and nerve. In this exciting new game show, two teams of two face off to grab prizes from the Cage before time runs out and the doors close. Answering trivia questions correctly adds more time to the clock, giving teammates more time to grab prizes that range from cold hard cash to electronics and even a new car! After three rounds, the team with the highest total dollar value in prizes wins the game, keeps what they grabbed, and plays the final round for an even bigger cash prize. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television’s Game Show division.
  • Iconic reality shows:
    • SURVIVOR (returning to Wednesdays with extended 90-minute original episodes)
    • THE AMAZING RACE (returning to Wednesdays with extended 90-minute original episodes)
  • BIG BROTHER moves to Tuesdays.
  • Classic fan-favorite episodes of hit drama series BLUE BLOODS (Friday’s #1 primetime program) air from throughout 13 seasons.

PARAMOUNT+ ORIGINALS

  • FBI TRUE will make its broadcast Network debut on Tuesdays, paired with FBI. This show reveals the decisions that meant life or death, sharing the pressures and the emotional impact on agents’ lives. All three seasons of FBI TRUE are available on Paramount +.
    FBI TRUE is a show where FBI agents share stories of their toughest cases in a relaxed setting. They talk about the triumphs, tragedies, and real truths of their jobs. These stories include dangerous missions carried out by the FBI in the United States and around the world. The agents give viewers an inside look at the investigations behind some of the biggest cases handled by the FBI. What choices did they make when everything was on the line? How did they stay calm when a child was kidnapped, a bomb was ticking, or a terrorist was on the loose? Efran Films Canada produces FBI TRUE for See It Now Studios.
  • SEAL TEAM returns to CBS with season five on Thursdays after THE CHALLENGE USA. All six seasons of SEAL TEAM are available on Paramount +.

NEWS BROADCASTS

  • A new season of the #1 news program, 60 MINUTES, returns in the fall. On select Sundays when the NFL ON CBS broadcasts doubleheader games, 60 MINUTES will present special, extended 90-minute editions.
  • A new season of the true-crime docuseries 48 HOURS, Saturday’s #1 non-sports primetime series, returns to Saturday nights.

LIVE SPORTS

  • On Saturday nights, you can watch some important college football games from the BIG TEN, SEC, and MOUNTAIN WEST conferences, including the NWSL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME.
  • During the fall, you can also watch over 100 hours of the NFL ON CBS every week for 18 weeks, starting on Sunday, Sept. 10. There will also be games on Thanksgiving and Christmas, and coverage of the AFC playoffs in January, including the AFC Championship game and Super Bowl LVIII, which will be broadcast on Sunday, Feb. 11, 2024.
