The reason Star Wars fans don’t have a name

But alas, despite the massively popular universe, Star Wars Fans do not have a collectively recognized name.

The lack of a name for Star Wars Fans has been a topic for many years. Many suggestions have cropped up during that time, including “Wookiees” or “Jedis” as possible names for Star Wars Fans, but no names have ever gained traction.

Some say Star Wars Fans have simply never felt the need for a specific name. We’re a passionate group that marches to the beat of a different drummer with no desire to become a Fandom Menace. Still, some long for a familial label to bring the clan together.

The reason for the lack of a specific name is that Star Wars is a franchise with a vast and diverse fan base, including casual moviegoers, die-hard collectors, and everything in between. And the Star Wars universe itself is massive, with a wide variety of eras, stories, characters, and locations. It would be near impossible to come up with a name that encompasses all the different types of fans. Or would it?

Potential names for Star Wars fans

I agree, we can rule out “Adobe Wan Kenobis”, “WookieLeaks”, “Patme Imadoggie”, “Sithhead”, and “Darth Waiters”. But how about “Skywalkers,” “Force-wielders,” “Padawans,” or “Galactic Citizens”? What about “Starwards”, “Starwookies”, or “Star Warriors”? Or any one of the suggestions below:

  • Jedi Knights
  • Sith Lords
  • Padawans
  • Rebel Alliance
  • Galactic Empire
  • Clone Troopers
  • Stormtroopers
  • Bounty Hunters
  • Smugglers
  • Wookiees
  • Ewoks
  • Jawas
  • Tusken Raiders
  • Droids
  • Mandalorians
  • Force Users
  • Lightsaber Enthusiasts
  • Starfighters
  • X-Wing Pilots
  • TIE Fighter Pilots
  • Death Star Survivors
  • The Chosen Ones
  • Space Wizards
  • The Resistance
  • First Order Fighters
  • *Star Warriors*
