The Boys Spin-Off TV Series Watch – news and insider info on the The Boys Spin-Off TV Series (TBA).

The Boys series from Amazon

About the The Boys Spin-Off TV Series.

The Boys spin-off will be set in America’s only college for young adult superheroes, ineffectually referred to as supes, run by Vought International and is being described as “an irreverent, R-rated series that explores the lives of hormonal, competitive supes as they put their physical, sexual and moral boundaries to the test,” blending the pitfalls of a college series with the gritty competitive nature of The Hunger Games and heart, satire, and raunch of the main series.

Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters will executive produce the series alongside Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver of Point Grey Pictures and Neal H. Moritz and Payun Shetty of Original Film. Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television will produce the series. They will work from a script written by Craig Rosenberg.

Jaz Sinclair (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Lizze Broadway (Here and Now), Shane Paul McGhie (Unbelievable), Aimee Carrero (Elena of Avalor), Reina Hardesty (Brockmire) and Maddie Phillips (Teenage Bounty Hunters) will play the young superheroes.

Chance Perdomo added to cast of The Boys spinoff series. March 16, 2022

Chance Perdomo (The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, After We Fell) will be joining the The Boys spinoff in a recasting move. No details were revealed as to what character Perdomo will be playing, though he is taking over the role previously owned by Shane Paul McGhie. Note that creators Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters noted that this character underwent creative changes in the writing process so there is probably more to this recasting announcement than meets the eye.

The Boys spinoff loses both of its leads. March 10, 2022

According to Deadline, the upcoming live-action “The Boys” spin-off has lost two of its leads. Aimee Carrero (“Maid”) and Shane Paul McGhie (“The Last Shift”) have left the series, which is set at America’s only college exclusively for superheroes. The two were probably forced to move onto other projects after lengthy delays with the project. The series is still in production with plans to recast the roles.

Fazekas and Butters will executive produce alongside Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver of Point Grey Pictures and Neal H. Moritz and Payun Shetty of Original Film, while Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television will produce.
