Lay’s Holiday Chips Turn Thanksgiving Favorites and Dubai Chocolate Into Snacks

Lay’s is turning the holiday table into a snack aisle with five limited-time flavors, including chips inspired by Thanksgiving sides, roasted turkey, maple bacon, and chocolate-covered desserts. The new Holi-LAY’S lineup splits its attention between savory comfort food and the sweet-and-salty combinations that have become a seasonal specialty for the brand.

The first wave arrives October 25 with Lay’s Cheddar Scalloped-Style Potatoes and Lay’s Roasted Holiday Turkey. The former aims for the rich, cheesy flavor of a holiday potato dish, while the latter combines roasted turkey and gravy notes in potato-chip form. Both flavors are scheduled for nationwide availability, giving shoppers a way to add Thanksgiving nostalgia to a party spread without cooking an entire dinner. Early coverage of the launch identifies these as the first two nationwide releases.

Maple Bacon follows on November 8. The flavor brings together smoky bacon and sweet maple, and it also marks the variety’s U.S. debut after appearing in Canada, according to Food Network’s coverage. Unlike the first two products, this one is positioned less as a direct recreation of a single Thanksgiving dish and more as a cold-weather flavor pairing that can work across breakfast, brunch, and holiday snacking.

Lay’s is saving its most unusual experiment for December 1, when Wavy Milk Chocolate and Wavy Dubai-Style Dark Chocolate begin appearing at select retailers. The first coats ridged Lay’s potato chips in milk chocolate. The second combines dark chocolate and pistachios with the Wavy crunch, drawing on the viral Dubai chocolate trend that has spread from confectionery counters into mass-market snacks. Both varieties are expected to expand more broadly in 2027.

The lineup reflects how limited-edition snacks increasingly function as seasonal pop-culture events: familiar brands borrow cues from holiday meals, social-media food trends, and novelty candy to create products designed for conversation as much as consumption. Lay’s has not announced a permanent place for any of the five flavors, so their initial availability is strictly limited to the holiday window. For shoppers, that makes the October, November, and December release dates the key details—especially for anyone curious whether chocolate-covered potato chips can compete with the usual cookie and candy tray.
