Subaru helps over 47,000 shelter pets find new homes.

Shelter dogs with special needs - the underdogs loved at last

Subaru has partnered with local shelters nationwide to help more than 47,000 shelter pets find loving homes in October 2022. Additionally, Subaru retailers across the nation donated over $1.6 million to local shelter partners to support their animal care efforts.

Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Subaru of America, Inc., expressed his gratitude for the thousands of people who welcomed shelter pets into their homes through Subaru Loves Pets adoption events. He thanked the retailers and shelter partners for their support in achieving an incredible adoption milestone and making the day (and potentially saving the lives) of thousands of dogs, cats, and other adoptable pets.

Over 600 retailers nationwide hosted adoption events at their retail locations in partnership with local animal shelters during the October 2022 Subaru Loves Pets campaign. Since the adoption campaign’s inception in 2019, Subaru has helped over 106,000 shelter pets find homes.

Subaru also celebrated its fourth annual National Make A Dog’s Day on October 22nd, encouraging all dog lovers to do something special for their furry friends and inviting the nation to consider adopting underdogs – older, physically-challenged, and “different” dogs that are often the last to be adopted.

Subaru’s contributions have impacted over 405,000 animals and donated over $44 million to national and local organizations. For more information about Subaru Loves Pets, please visit www.subaru.com/pets and follow #SubaruLovesPets on social media.
