Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is now available. This highly anticipated, free-to-play collectible card roleplay game (RPG) is set in the wizarding world. Players in various territories in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Oceania, and the Middle East can download the game for free on the App Store for iOS and Google Play for Android.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened was co-developed and co-published by Warner Bros. Games and NetEase Games. It is the latest title released under Portkey Games, the label dedicated to creating new mobile and videogame experiences inspired by the wizarding world that place the player at the center of their own adventure.

Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a free-to-play collectible card game (CCG) and massively multiplayer online game (MMO) where players duel as wizards. It features a combination of strategy and roleplaying elements set ten years after the Battle of Hogwarts. Players will encounter familiar characters from the original series and new ones as well.
As players advance, they will learn spells that can be cast through cards. Players must make good use of these spells, develop unique strategies, and use winning combinations to overcome increasingly difficult challenges, duel other players, and become great wizards in their own right.
Harry Potter: Magic Awakened key features
Key features in the game include:
- Experience Life as a Hogwarts Student: You can customize your character, receive your wand, experience the Sorting Hat ceremony, and fly around Hogwarts. As a First-year student, you will also attend a rotating schedule of classes including Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Care of Magical Creatures, History of Magic, and Divination – each with their own minigames, objectives, and rewards.
- Fill Your Spellbook: At launch, there are over 70 spells and summons available – each with unique effects and benefits. You can create decks with infinite combinations around damage, control, support, and defense to use magic in your own way. To further customize your playstyle, you can equip Echoes that grant special boosts to stats, traits, or passive abilities. You can also use Companion cards that can summon powerful allies like Hermione Granger and Rubeus Hagrid to aid in battle.
- Immersive Massively Multiplayer World: Join a Social Club with other players and participate in special activities such as caring for a dragon egg or entering boss raids to fight powerful creatures like a Thunderbird. You can also invite a friend to dance in the Dance Club rhythm minigame, encounter other witches and wizards while exploring Diagon Alley, attend classes with peers, and more.
- New Story: Enjoy a fresh, original story featuring new characters from the “Harry Potter” series. Explore new adventures each year at Hogwarts.
- Dueling Club: Compete in friendly, real-time wizarding duels against other players and climb the leaderboards. Choose from 1v1 and 2v2 modes, as well as limited-time game modes.
- Forbidden Forest: Brave the Forbidden Forest alone or with friends to take on increasingly difficult challenges and earn greater rewards with each victory. Discover exclusive stories and magical creatures like Centaurs, Acromantulas, and Unicorns.
