Disney and Pixar have released the trailer and poster for Inside Out 2, which we expect will be the feel-good film of Summer 2024.
The little voices inside Riley’s head know her inside and out—but next summer, everything changes when Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 introduces a new Emotion: Anxiety. According to director Kelsey Mann, the new character promises to stir things up within headquarters. “Anxiety, voiced by Maya Hawke, might be new to the crew, but she’s not really the type to take a back seat,” says Mann. “That makes a lot of sense if you think about it in terms of what goes on inside all our minds.”
Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 revisits the mind of Riley, who is now a teenager. Riley’s headquarters is unexpectedly demolished to make way for something new: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear, and Disgust, who have been successfully running the show so far, are unsure how to react when Anxiety makes an appearance. And it seems like Anxiety is not alone.
Anxiety is voiced by Hawke, while Joy is voiced by Amy Poehler, Sadness by Phyllis Smith, Anger by Lewis Black, Fear by Tony Hale, and Disgust by Liza Lapira. Directed by Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, Disney and Pixar’s Inside Out 2 will be released exclusively in theaters in the summer of 2024.
