Attention all Hot Wheels superfans! NBC is rolling out a series just for Hot Wheels fans – Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge. Witness epic car makeovers and new episodes every Tuesday at 10/9c, starting May 30th on NBC.
Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge will be hosted by Rutledge Wood, known for his appearances on “Top Gear US” and “Floor Is Lava.” He will also be one of the judges. In each episode, two contestants will enter the “Chrome Zone” and compete by transforming a regular car into a stunning Hot Wheels masterpiece. The vehicles they work on will be meaningful to them, and the modifications they make will be inspired by their personal experiences and popular culture.
Contestants will receive aid from a group of skilled automotive experts known as “The Car Pool” as they endeavor to create their designs in state-of-the-art garages. To add to the excitement, these passionate fans will also encounter the “Inspirationator 5000,” a massive vending machine that unveils a surprising twist in each episode.
Each episode of the show will feature a panel of rotating celebrity guest judges, who will be joining the resident experts Hertrech Eugene Jr. and Dalal Elsheikh. Hertrech Eugene Jr. is a renowned influencer in car culture and the drift scene, while Dalal Elsheikh is a designer for the Ford Motor Company and also serves as the Hot Wheels Brand Ambassador. The panel, including the celebrity guests, will review the transformations and select a winner for each show.
The champions of each episode will receive $25,000 and the opportunity to compete in the season finale. The chosen finalists will vie for an extra $50,000 and the distinction of having their design transformed into an official Hot Wheels die-cast car. This car will be available for purchase on Mattel Creations after the season finale on August 8th, making it a great addition to your personal collection.
