Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thrillers, and the supernatural, has announced the premiere date and released new images for THE DEMON DISORDER, from special effects master Steven Boyle (THE MATRIX Trilogy, THE HOBBIT Trilogy, KING KONG). This highly anticipated film, marking Boyle’s directorial debut, stars John Noble (THE LORD OF THE RINGS Trilogy), Charles Cottier, Christian Willis, and Dirk Hunter. THE DEMON DISORDER will premiere exclusively on Shudder on Friday, September 6 and will also be available on AMC+.
The Australian demonic family drama follows Graham, a man tormented by his past since the death of his father and the estrangement from his two brothers. Jake, the middle brother, reaches out to Graham with a disturbing claim: their youngest brother Phillip is possessed by their deceased father. Graham reluctantly decides to investigate. When the three brothers reunite, they quickly realize they are unprepared for the forces they face and learn that their past sins won’t stay buried. But how do you defeat a presence that knows you so intimately? An anger so intense it refuses to die?
Written and directed by Boyle, with Toby Osborne (PINDAM) as co-writer, THE DEMON DISORDER is produced by Boyle and Ally Muller and executive produced by Michael Spierig and Peter Spierig.
