About the Extraction 2 movie.

The Extraction 2 plot summary tells us:

“After barely surviving his grievous wounds from his mission in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Tyler Rake is back, and his team is ready to take on their next mission. Tasked with extracting a family who is at the mercy of a Georgian gangster, Tyler infiltrates one of the world’s deadliest prisons in order to save them. But when the extraction gets hot, and the gangster dies in the heat of battle, his equally ruthless brother tracks down Rake and his team to Sydney, in order to get revenge.”

The second Extraction movie is set to be once again directed by Sam Hargrave, who made his feature film debut with the Netflix film. Hargrave was previously on the stunt side of things, even serving as Chris Evans’ stunt double for Captain America in a number of movies. The script was written by Joe Russo, based on his graphic novel with brother Anthony, Ciudad.

Extraction 2 is produced by Patrick Newall, Anthony Russo, and Joe Russo.

Pre-Production began on September 1, 2021 with filming commencing on September 25, 2021.

Chris Hemsworth posts video giving us a look at the Extraction 2 set. December 3, 2021

Today, lead actor Chris Hemsworth posted an on-set video with this message: “First-day shooting Extraction 2…we’re here in Prague.”

From the video we can clearly see it is cold. Also, how is Rake alive? Hemsworth teased:

“Extraction 2!!! Tyler Rake lives!! How the f$&k is that possible you may ask?! You’ll have to wait and see, stay tuned!!”

Netflix provides first look at Extraction 2. September 25, 2021

During Netflix’s TUDUM global fan event, the streaming service showed a first look at Extraction 2 and it picks up right where the first movie left off. At the end of Extraction, Chris Hemsworth’s character fell off a bridge after being shot at. The movie ended with him in the ocean, perhaps falling to his demise. But as this teaser shows, his eyes will unexpectedly open.

The Extraction trailer opens with the ending of the movie, once again reliving that fateful moment where Tyler looked like he had met his end. However, now we get to see what happens just moments after his plunge. His eyes flutter open and he is heard taking a breath at the surface. The teaser ends with the hashtag #RakeLives to keep fans warm until Extraction 2 makes its way to Netflix.
