Semtech Corporation in collaboration with ZeeVee, a global manufacturer of video and signal distribution technology have created a world-class gaming environment at the Westgate Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The collaborative solution is powered by ZeeVee ZyPer4K encoders and decoders and Semtech’s BlueRiver® AV technology. The 18.8 feet by 260 feet wide video wall is the gaming industry’s largest 4K video wall and took five months from conception to completion.

As a result of the upgrade, NMR was able to engineer 175 different multiviews — equaling a dozen multiviews per screen — that display a seemingly endless combination of images simultaneously. The SDVoE/AV-over-IP platform enabled this project to be accomplished with less devices, saving hundreds of thousands of dollars in multiview processing alone and taking up a significantly smaller footprint.

Doug Whelan, director of systems Integration at NMR said:

“Our client was extremely happy with the outcome of this project on several fronts. The video wall’s eye-popping dynamic content is helping Westgate to draw in bettors. In addition to the video quality, we appreciate the efficiency, flexibility and cost effectiveness of the ZeeVee, Semtech and SDVoE solution.”
