iHeartPodcasts and Blumhouse Television have announced the release of their new scripted thriller podcast, “The Mantawauk Caves”. The show is the third scripted series in a series of co-produced podcasts by the two companies and features 3D audio that gives listeners a thrilling binaural listening experience.

The first two episodes, along with an original song “A Killer Inside,” composed, produced, and performed by Lera Lynn for “The Mantawauk Caves” podcast, will debut on March 22, and new episodes will be available every Wednesday.

Penned by writer, director, and producer Dan Bush (The Signal, The Vault, Tomorrow’s Monsters), “The Mantawauk Caves” is an immersive audio experience consisting of 12 episodes. It narrates the story of Julien Solas, an aspiring writer who returns to his hometown to save his friend, James Fincher, from a death sentence fourteen years later. James was convicted of the gruesome murder of two teenage boys whose remains were found in a cave in Mantawauk County, Tennessee. Julien uncovers dark truths about himself and his family while delving into the past and trying to solve the mystery of what happened in the caves of Mantawauk County in May 2007.

Will Pearson, President of iHeartPodcasts, stated,

“We’re honored to continue our long-standing and fruitful relationship with Blumhouse and collaborate on a slate of new scripted shows, with ‘The Mantawauk Caves’. Our listeners crave scripted series that take them into an entirely new universe and out of their day-to-day lives. ‘The Mantawauk Caves’ storyline and listening experience with 3D audio will transport our listeners into a thrilling, and at times frightening, universe.”

The psychological thriller is produced in association with Psychopia Pictures and stars renowned actors, including Jonathan Tucker, known for his roles in “The Virgin Suicides,” “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre,” and “Charlie’s Angels,” and Edi Gathegi, a Kenyan-American actor who starred in “House,” “Gone Baby Gone,” “Twilight,” and “The Twilight Saga: New Moon.”

The Mantawauk Caves is distributed by iHeartPodcasts and is available on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard.
