Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference kicks off June 5, 2023. Here’s what you can expect to see.

Apple today announced the details of its annual Worldwide Developers Conference, which will provide developers with valuable insights and experiences. The conference will take place online from June 5 to 9, with the keynote and Platforms State of the Union presentations scheduled during this time. Developers and students will also have the opportunity to attend a special in-person event at Apple Park on opening day.

The conference promises to offer a week of informative events and activities, enabling developers to stay up to date with the latest technologies, tools, and frameworks for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS. Furthermore, Apple engineers and experts will be available for one-on-one labs and guidance in Slack, which will help developers in creating innovative and platform-differentiating apps and games.

Apple Keynote

Mark your calendars for June 5th at 10 a.m. PDT! The highly anticipated WWDC23 is set to launch, showcasing exciting updates for Apple platforms. You can catch the keynote address on apple.com, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and YouTube. Plus, you can watch the stream again on-demand after it concludes.

Platforms State of the Union

On June 5th at 1:30 PM PDT, developers will have the opportunity to discover new tools, technologies, and advancements across Apple platforms to enhance their apps. Apple’s Platforms State of the Union will be available for streaming through the Apple Developer app and website.

Apple Design Awards

On June 5th at 6:30 p.m. PDT, the Apple Design Awards will honor the outstanding art, craft, creativity, and technical skills displayed by Apple’s developer community. The unveiling of this year’s winners will take place through the Apple Developer app and website.

Access to Experts

Discover the latest tools and technologies to create the next generation of apps and games with WWDC23. With 175 in-depth session videos, developers can learn everything from technical and design questions to improving their app’s presence on the store. Apple experts are available for one-on-one online lab appointments to answer all your questions. Starting from June 6-9, session videos will be posted daily on the Apple Developer app and website.

Activities

Aside from session videos and one-on-one labs, Apple’s engineers and designers will be conducting a series of online activities in Slack throughout the week to assist developers in technical discussions, provide solutions to their queries, and enable them to connect with each other. Join in on a technology or design Q&A, view session videos and inquire with the speaker, or establish a community through an icebreaker activity.

Developer App

The Apple Developer app is the perfect tool to stay up to date with the latest news, content, activities, and all things Apple. You can access it on your Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV, and benefit from daily updates and notifications. The app offers a wide range of features, including browsing by topic, participating in online Slack-based activities and one-on-one labs, watching videos with friends using SharePlay, copying code directly from session videos into Xcode, and reading feature stories. As a developer, you’ll find everything you need to enhance your skills and stay ahead of the game.
