More rumors leaked today about LG’s Optimus Nexus, the Nexus phone that LG is rumored to be making for Google. The Nexus smartphone is pretty close to LG’s Optimus G device but some of the spec changes are pretty shocking. For instance, the leaked specs indicate the Optimus Nexus will not have a microSD card slot, a standard staple on Android phones and a huge rallying cry in the Google vs. Apple war. In addition, the upcoming LG Optimus Nexus will not have a removable battery. Possibly the device will be a low-cost, “any idiot can work it”, noobie-type smartphone? Or maybe it will be the first to feature Android 4.2 (a minor update). And possibly nobody will buy the thing…
Here are the additional specs:
- Quad-core Snapdragon S4 processor
- 2GB RAM
- 4.7 inch 1280×768 True-HD IPS screen
- 8 Megapixel rear camera
- 8GB and 16GB versions
- Wireless charging
The device is expected to hit the market in November.
