Xbox Series X-Bite Puts a Working Console Inside a Five-Foot Alligator

Xbox has turned console collecting into a wildlife encounter. The company is giving away the Xbox Series X-Bite, a fully playable Series X installed inside a custom alligator fabrication that stretches more than five feet from snout to tail. The machine is visible through an illuminated Xbox Nexus set into the creature’s body, while a matching wireless controller sits between its jaws.

The bizarre prize was created as Xbox heads to Florida, using the state’s famously oversized wildlife—and its even more oversized pop-culture reputation—as the starting point for a hardware stunt. Microsoft says the alligator is fabricated rather than real, and only one Series X-Bite exists. The giveaway is being promoted as a display piece as much as a functioning console, so the winner may need to think carefully about where this particular “gator” will live.

Creature-effects specialists John Nolan Studio handled the 3D modeling, sculpting, and fabrication. The studio’s credits include creature and animatronic work on The Witcher, Jurassic World Dominion, and HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series. That pedigree helps explain why the X-Bite is considerably more elaborate than a standard promotional console with a themed paint job.

Fans in the United States can enter through X, Instagram, or TikTok from 9 a.m. Pacific on November 3 through 11:59 p.m. Pacific on November 10, 2026. The basic steps are to follow @Xbox on the chosen platform, repost the designated sweepstakes post, and manually add #XbiteSweepstakes. Entrants must keep their account public, and the promotion is limited to legal residents of the 50 states and Washington, D.C., who are at least 18 years old. Windows Central’s coverage likewise identifies November 10 as the closing date and outlines the social-entry requirements.

There is no purchase requirement, but potential winners will need to respond within 48 hours of notification or risk losing the prize to a replacement selection. The concept also fits Xbox’s recent fondness for turning hardware into conversation-starting collectibles: instead of another limited-color console destined for a shelf, the Series X-Bite makes the entire living room part of the joke. Whether it was inspired by Florida’s real-world alligators, gaming’s fascination with oversized promotional props, or both, Xbox has built a giveaway that is difficult to mistake for ordinary merchandise.
